It Seems The Coen Brothers Will Investigate Black Money
It seems Joel and Ethan Coen are already planning ahead, as they are set to write, and could also direct, an adaptation of the 1966 crime novel “Black Money” for Warner Bros. Studio according to an exclusive from Deadline.[1]
Further information also confirms that Joel Silver will be
producing the film with Warner Bros. set to co-finance the project through
Silver Pictures Entertainment. The story focuses on MacDonald’s private eye Lew
Archer, who was hired to expose a Frenchman for running off with his client’s
girlfriend.
I am looking forward to the film, as the premise sounds like
something the Coen brothers have proven to be quite good at telling and as a
gigantic Coen fan I naturally am biased and will naturally state such a thing.
Still, what are your
thoughts on the matter? Leave a comment below!
