Marvel Expands Its Phase 3 Slate With Ant-Man...and the Wasp?
It seems that Marvel has now officially restructured its third Phase, as they now have not only revealed three mysterious projects that are as of now still part of Phase 3, but in addition Ant-Man has now officially received its sequel. The sequel of Phase 2’s “Ant-Man” will actually be expanded, as Hope Van Dyne is joining the title, which is now officially “Ant-Man and the Wasp” and will be released in July 6, 2018.[1]
Its release date does end up shuffling the dates around, as “Black
Panther” will appear in February 16, 2018 and “Captain Marvel” is pushed back
to March 8, 2019. While some think that it is a bad idea to postpone Captain
Marvel, but this gives them more time to work on the project and Wasp is also
given more screentime for the upcoming Ant-Man sequel.
Wait, as this isn’t all. Marvel has also expanded with three
additional films, which will be released on May 1, 2020, July 10, 2020 and
November 6, 2020. It will be interesting to see if one of these dates is a
sequel to either Doctor Strange, Spider-Man or maybe even the first fourth
installment in the franchise.
