Warner Bros. and Legendary Announce Monster Mash Film!

It seems that the rumored Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures Godzilla vs. King Kong film has now officially been confirmed. The film is slated for 2020 and will be officially titled Godzilla vs. Kong. While no exact details are given, Legendary CEO, Thomas Tull, did spoke out regarding the last Godzilla film. “Audiences really responded to Godzilla. Today, I’m excited to reveal that film was only the beginning of an epic new entertainment universe. As a lifelong fan of these characters, I’ve always wanted to see the ultimate showdown and today we’re pleased to be announcing that and more.”

The more he is talking about is that Godzilla 2 now officially has a June 8th, 2018 release date with Kong: Skull Island still slated for 2017. Kevin Tsujihara, Chairman and CEO of Warner Bros stated: “Working with our partners at Legendary, we enjoyed tremendous creative and commercial success with `Godzilla.' It’s great to be able to revisit these characters and help create a franchise with so many creative possibilities for filmmakers. Fans love these big, globally iconic films and it doesn’t get any bigger than this."[1]
