Has Black Panther Found Its Director?
While Marvel’s upcoming Black Panther project won’t be published until July 6, 2018, it seems that a considerable amount of work has already been going on behind the scenes at Marvel Studios getting the project together. Even Captain Marvel has already won two writers with Nicole Perlman and Meg Lefauve back in April,[1] but up to this point there has been a lack on information regarding Black Panther except a few rumors regarding Salem director Ava DuVernay to potentially take up the mantle as director.
Anyone who was hoping to see this
come to fruition might rejoice, as it seems that according to the MCU Exchange that Ava DuVernay has indeed already signed a deal on becoming the
director. While there is still a lack of information regarding who will write
the project, except for a few rumors that Mark Bailey, a documentary filmmaker,
might pen the script.[2]
Still there is no official word by
Marvel themselves so still have to wait for that, but MCU Exchange has been very reliable sources in the past and she
would certainly bring a very interesting vision to the film.
