Some Unfortunate Events Are Heading to Netflix
As I have quite a fascination with the book series “A Series of Unfortunate Events” by Lemony Snicket I was slightly disappointed with the Jim Carrey film that came out a while back. Still considering the amount of books that have been published over the years I always considered that the franchise was more fitting for a TV show. Surprisingly it seems that someone has read my thoughts a while back as this might indeed become a reality.
Netflix truly is becoming a
remarkable Video-On-Demand portal with a variety of series to their name and
they are now adding an additional live-action series focused on the children
books “A Series of Unfortunate Events” together with Paramount Television.[1]
According to Cindy Holland, Vice
President of Original Content at Netflix, they are “On the search for fantastic material that appeals to both parents and
kids, the first stop for generations of readers is A Series of Unfortunate
Events.” She continues by stating that “The
world created by Lemony Snicket is unique, darkly funny and relatable. We can’t
wait to bring it to life for Netflix members.”
What do you
