Reveals at the Agents of SHIELD/Agent Carter SDCC'15 Panels

SDCC’15 has been quite filled with a lot of reveals for both film and TV. While Marvel Studios had sadly not shown anything of their upcoming films, but they state that is due to the lack of any real footage to show, we still had some interesting reveals on the side of Marvel Television, which held a panel specially for Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter. Sadly, there was no mention of the upcoming Netflix show for Jessica Jones, but it could well be that they are keeping that a secret until the upcoming D23 event from Disney. Still, here is a quick round-up of all the important bullet points that have been released for the two before-mentioned shows. There were also some nice little gags with Jeph Loeb stealing Agent Carter’s red hat and even Clark Gregg returning later to retrieve his missing hand.[1]

Agent Carter
The first part of the panel featured Haley Atwell and James D’Arcy with a small Q&A from the visitors. It was confirmed that this years Agent Carter will actually be extended by two more episodes, so instead of only eight, we actually will be able to enjoy ten episodes next year. Furthermore, the reason it takes place in Los Angeles is actually due to Carter being called to investigate a murder that has occurred there. The reason Jarvis is also there, is that by pure coincidence he is helping Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper)  build up a movie studio there. Sadly, no exact word on how many episodes we can expect to see him or if he truly is returning. Last piece of news was that we are going to meet the mysterious wife of Jarvis, who was only hinted at throughout the first season.

Agents of SHIELD
With the entire regular cast being around we actually received quite a handful of details regarding the upcoming third season. Skye is officially going to take on her Daisy Johnson name, probably as a tribute to her father. They jokingly added a Skye jar incase anyone keeps calling her as such. Just like last year they showed the gag reel of the last season, which sadly has not found its way online. In a small video we actually got to see the showrunners Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tanchaeron, who were unable to attend, trying to find out what to do, which ended in the Secret Warriors and Daisy’s official code name Quake. Also, it seems that “Zephyr One” will be the name of the new plane, as sadly the Bus had found its end last season. Also there was a nice little cameo by B.J. Britt, which could maybe indicate the return of Agenet Triplet, but as of yet just a tease. The most prominent info we got was the confirmation that the Inhuman Lash will be joining the upcoming season, who according to Jeph Loeb is “He’s big, he’s huge.”
