Agent Carter Season 2 Cast Revealed At NYCC

Finally, as Agents of SHIELD is currently airing and it already seems like they are closing production on their 50^th episode, New York Comic Con’s panel for Marvel Television has revealed some news and information on castings for Agent Carter’s second season. Not only do we find out who is playing the season’s villain Madame Masque, but also what else we can expect.[1]

Madame Masque, also known as Whitney Frost, will be played by Wynn Everett, as according to the Executive Producers Tara Butters, Michele Fazekas and Chris Dingess stated “Whitney Frost is a character with a storied history in the Marvel comics, and we’re excited to get the opportunity to introduce her to fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Inspired by Hollywood icons like Hedy Lamarr and Lauren Bacall, we knew we needed an actor who was classically glamorous and fiercely intelligent. Wynn is both, and we’re thrilled to watch her bring this formidable character to life.”

Furthermore, Currie Graham from Murder in the First’s will be playing Frost’s businessman husband Calvin Chadwick, as the stated they “knew we needed an actor versatile enough to go head-to-head with both Hayley and Wynn, and Currie Graham is one of those actors who can truly do anything. He brings a grounded, human quality to Calvin Chadwick, a complex character who lives at the center of Season 2’s intrigue.”

Is that all? Of course not, as Marvle published a plethora of casting announcements, one of them being Ana Jarvis, the wife of our favorite Edwin Jarvis, who will aid Carter adjusting to her new life and is played by Lotte Verbeek. “For a character fans love as much as Jarvis, we had to find him a partner who would be equally beloved. Lotte brings ease, sincerity and warmth to the role that’s just perfect.”

A scientist, who charms Peggy, named Jason Wilkes will join the second season and will be played by Reggie Austin. “We were impressed by Reggie as soon as we met with him. He has a unique ability to be handsome and charming whiel also being extremely accessible. We knew he could portray a character whom both audiences and Peggy would love.” According to Loeb.

This comes alongside the confirmation of Dominic Cooper, Bridget Regan also joining the cast once again. It will be interesting to see if Dottie has a connection with Masque, or if she is on a revenge spree against Carter.
