Oh my, how much anticipation has been building up until we get our first true look at the upcoming project Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice from Warner Bros. and DC Comics? Not only that, but it seems that Warner Bros. went all out this year at their SDCC panel today. News came out regarding their other upcoming projects Man from U.N.C.L.E. and Pan, which look like rather interesting projects on their own rights alongside a surprise visit from the Suicide Squad cast and even some hints at the future of the DC Film Universe. So let us not waste any time and get into the meat of the panel and what great news came out of it.

Let us start with some of the overall news that has yet to find its way online. First of all, they showed some footage from the upcoming Suicide Squad film, which looks quite impressive. We get our look at Harley Quinn and hear her voice, which sounds quite similar to her original counter-part. We also get our first look at the Joker, who seems just as insane as he should be, but he certainly is the incarnation that we saw in the image, the tattoos are here to stay.

Here is a description of the trailer by ComicBook.com[1]:

Dinner table. “I have the worst of the worst", a man tells Amanda Waller. The DC Comics logo ticks into screen. Waller says she put them in a hole and threw away the hole. She references Superman. “A task force of the most dangerous people on the planet who can do some good.” “We have built in deniability” because they're bad guys. Harley Quinn hangs upside down in a cage. Deadshot beats a punching bag. Killer Croc strapped to a gurney. Harley asks, “Are you the devil?” Deadshot grapples down a building. A hospital gets shot up. Enchantress sits in a pool. Deadshot calls themselves the Suicide Squad as the team forms in the street. Helicopters fire. Harley holds her bat like a shotgun. The Joker walks down a hallway. Harley strangles a guard. Batman rides the Joker’s car. Harley pops gum. Boomerang talks about crazy people. Joker’s laugh! “I’m not gonna kill ya!” Joker says. The squad walks down the street. Joker goes on, “I’m just gonna hurt ya, really, really bad,” with the most insane look anyone can ever have in their eyes.”

Furthermore it seems that a lot of artwork was shown for the upcoming Justice League Part 1 project, which will indeed be directed by Zack Snyder. The Flash seems to have long hair like the actor Ezra Miller has, which seems to be an odd choice in my opinion, and they even got their first look at Cyborg. Sadly, there has been no official release of the artwork so far, but if we are lucky we might see it leak online at one point. Also, it was confirmed that the Green Lantern film will indeed be a ensemble piece, as it is officially titled “Green Lantern Corp.”[2]

The biggest release was something that many believed would only be shown during Comic Con, but actually they released it online as well, a gigantic amount of footage for the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice film. The released a whopping 3:40 minute trailer for the upcoming film, which you will find here:

That is all the information we received on the DC slate, but it was quite an amount of things they had published in such a little time. The trailer for Suicide Squad sounds to be a DC incarnation of Sabotage, but with a bit more moral questions on what truly can be considered evil and Batman v Superman looks quite interesting. A lot of footage of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Lex Luthor and even a nice scene featuring Ma Kent. The worst part about the whole thing? We have to still wait until April so that we can watch the film.
