Murdock's Past Love Will Come To Haunt Him In Season 2!

After the first pictures surfaced showcasing the start of the second season of Daredevil’s production, it was only a question of time until the first few castings would pop up. It didn’t take long as one of Daredevil’s most important adversaries and love-interest Elektra has finally been cast for the second season. This is quite interesting considering that a few casting videos have been leaked online a while back and now it is official that Elodie Yung (G.I. Joe: Retaliation) will be playing Elektra.

The official statement by the Producer and Head of Marvel Television, Jeph Loeb, was that “After a worldwide search, we found in Elodie the perfect actress to embody both Elektra’s impressive and deadly physicality, as well as her psychological complexity.” He continued that “Paired with Charlie as Matt Murdock, the two will bring one of the most beloved and tumultuous comic book relationships to life with all the accompanying sparks and spectacular action sequences the show is known for.”[1]

Alongside this reveal we have also received a teaser poster for her arrival in Hell’s Kitchen, which shows her iconic Sai and could potentially hint at the way these two characters might meet each other at the beginning of the coming season. Now all we have to wait for is the who will potentially will end up playing Bullseye in the coming season.[2]
