This is probably one of the most interesting bits of news to come out regarding the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, as a long debate between the family of Bill Finger and DC Comics has come to an end. Bill Finger died back in 1974 and is considered to be the co-creator of not only the iconic Batman character, but also some of his famous enemies such as Catwoman and the Joker.

An official statement by DC Entertainment is as follows:[1]

“Bill Finger was instrumental in developing many of the key creative elements that enrich the Batman universe, and we look forward to building on our acknowledgement of his significant role in DC Comics’ history. As part of our acknowledgement of those contributions, we are pleased to confirm today that Bill Finger will be receiving credit int eh Warner Bros. television series Gotham beginning later this season, and in the forthcoming motion picture Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”

Yes, you read that right, Bill Finger will finally be credited for his contributions to the famous character not only in the movies, but also on FOX’s successful Gotham series.
