Baymax Is Joining Kingdom Hearts 3

While I have spent enough time talking about Marvel Studios involvement at D23, it is time to talk about Disney, and actually indirectly about a Marvel property, Big Hero 6. The film has garnered a lot of interest as it was the first time Disney adapted a Marvel property and created quite an iconic character with Baymax. Well, it seems he will indeed be returning in the upcoming third installment in the Kingdom Hearts series. Sora will travel to San Fransokyo to battle the Heartless on his mission to free the world from the eve-growing darkness and evil Master Xehanort.[1]

The most interesting aspect about this is that the game will actually officially continue the storyline of Big Hero 6 with all the characters officially returning. Most notably, the original Baymax, who sadly was forced to be left behind in another dimension, will return, but this time around is corrupted by the darkness. It is an evil plan of Xehanort to unite the 13 darknesses he was speaking of at the end of Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance.

This is the second world to be confirmed after Tangled earlier this year at San Diego Comic-Con. It certainly seems that we will gradually uncover the different worlds we will be visiting the much anticipated Kingdom Hearts 3 with rumors going around we will also see Brave, Frozen, Star Wars or even Marvel characters appear in the game. Yet as of now only Tangled and Big Hero 6 are most definitely confirmed by Square-Enix and the team behind Kingdom Hearts 3.
