Could We See Blade Return In The Marvel Cinematic Universe?

Most people will fondly remember Wesley Snipes as Blade, who truly started the popularity of adapting superheroes for film, and it seems that this nostalgia might have the character return in a Marvel project. As of now, it is only Snipes teasing a potential collaboration with Marvel Studios, who was able to reacquire the rights to Blade with Daredevil and Ghost Rider back in 2013.[1]

During the promotion of his new television series The Player, he addressed the rumors one again by stating “Well, we’ve had some discussions. We have had very positive and favorable discussions about the Blade character and other things they have in mind. We’ll see where it goes. For those Blade fans, if we never reprise Blade, I have another character that will stand toe to toe with Blade any day. It’s not done yet.”

This is quite interesting to think that we could potentially see the darker character of Blade in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but there have also been rumors that he might end up playing T’Chaka, the father of T’Challa a.k.a. the Black Panther.
