Gotham Will Face A New Type of Pyromaniac In Season 2

A famous Batman villain will make his debut on Gotham next season, but there seems to be a twist involved. It is unsure how this affects the storyline behind the character, but the pyrotechnic Firefly has officially been casted. Michelle Veintimilla, who is famous for Lifetime’s Those Who Kill, will play the character in the upcoming season with the human alter ego Bridgit Pike.[1]

The character description is as follows:

Enslaved by her brothers, a notorious gang of arsonists, Bridgit Pike, is forced into the family business. When she catches the eye of Selina Kyle, the young Cat Woman and the soon-to-be Firefly team up to put Bridgit’s firestarting skills to good use. But after a deadly encounter with the Pike Brothers, the meek Cinderella is transformed into a vengeful supervillain, hell bent on destroying those who have wronged her.

It seems that she might indeed become the heavily scarred and burned version of the character that was seen in the comics and the Arkham games. It will be interesting to see if her character will even dress up similarly to the character in the comics, but as of now there isn’t much more known, as she won’t appear until the late fall episodes.
