The Six Billion Dollar Man Coming To Theaters in 2017

It seems that The Six Billion Dollar Man is seeing a revival in theaters, as TWC-Dimension has set a release date with December 22, 2017. It seems that Damián Szifron from Wild Tales wrote the screenplay and has now also been confirmed to be directing. The principal photography will start in September 2016 with Mark Wahlberg starring in the film.

The concept follows in the long line of TV-to-film adaptations and it seems to be a passion project for Wahlberg, who has been campaigning for this role for some time now. "I am thrilled to assemble The Six Billion Dollar Man for the big screen with the likes of Bob Weinstein and Damián Szifron. We look forward to creating a Steve Austin for the 21st century." said Wahlberg.
