Hasbro Studios Adds A Creative Consultant
In film business related news, it seems that Hasbro Studios, the company behind the controversial films Ouija and Tarnsformers, has decided to hire screenwriter T.J. Fixman as a creative consultant. It seems that they are trying to up their game, as they have also been working on a Transformers Cinematic Universe and potentially spin-off more famous Hasbro products into film franchises.[1]
T.J. Fixman wrote the Greg Berlanti
produced The Men Who Kill for 20th
Century Fox and has also been a award-winning writer behind the Insomniac
franchise Ratchet & Clank. This is one more additon to their writer room
that includes Akiva Goldsman, Michael Bay and even Steven Spielberg that is
planning out the upcoming next five years for their franchises.
Fixman stated that “World building has always been a passion of
mine, so to be able to play in the Hasbro sandbox is simply incredible.” And
it will be interesting to see what he adds to the mix and if this could be a
sign that the Transformers franchise is heading into another direction.
Furthermore, Oujia is also expecting a sequel in the coming years.
