Gotham has proven to be quite an interesting look at the world of Batman with the title character still being a child and focusing on Jim Gordon’s (Ben McKenzie) years starting off as part of the GCPD. Throughout the series we were introduced to a variety of famous, or maybe infamous Batman villains, most notably the Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) and the Riddler (Cory Michael Smith) getting a lot of screen time setting the stage until they would eventually turn into the villains they are known as. One notable character was Harvey Dent (Nicholas D’Agosto), who appeared in the ninth and tenth episode of the season, who had left quite an impression even without much time spend in the actual show.

All fans are in luck as the actor himself has confirmed[1] that he has been bumped up to series regular, which could certainly imply we will discover more about the character over time. With him already portraying erratic mood swings hinting at “Big Bad Harv”, which has become a famous interpretation thanks to Batman: The Animated Series. Maybe we could even explore his friendship with young Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) even though there is a much wider age gap this time around. The cast is every growing and with it the potential stories these characters can tell.

What do you think? Are you looking forward to him being a series regular? Leave a comment below and your thoughts what this could mean for the second season!
