John Wick Sequel Finds A Director And Loses One?

One of my personal favorite surprise films of the last year was John Wick, which I have heard a lot about and sadly due to international delays was only able to watch months after its initial release in the United States. Still, with rumors in the air regarding a sequel focused on Keanu Reeves character was certainly intriguing and with its decent Box Office performance the rumors started that the film will in fact receive a sequel.[1]

The first film was directed by two former stuntmen Chad Stahelski and David Leitch, but it seems only one of them will be returning to direct the sequel, as Chad Stahelski is ready to helm the sequel to the film that jumpstarted his career. There were even rumors circuling them for a DC Comics project at Warner Bros. and it seems that wasn’t all they were offered. As of now there is no official statement regarding David Leitch’s future, but it seems rumors have it that he has another project already lined up.

Only question remains to see how much the film will change with only of the two directors helming it, but it was one of the best action flicks of the year that stood quite out in a very blockbuster heavy season.
