It seems that Ash won’t be quite done with his war against the Army of Darkness, as three days before the show sees the light of day, it has already been renewed for a second season. The Starz original series was already renewed thanks to the strong fan backing and the highly anticipated premiere on Halloween, as the show sees a continuation of the original The Evil Dead trilogy.[1]

Sam Raime, Rob Tapert and Bruce Campbell will all return as Executive Producers for the second season, and he will naturally continue in his role of Ash Williams. Furthermore, Lucy Lawless has also been confirmed to be returning in the second season as the mysterious Ruby, who we still don’t know much about.

Carmy Zlotnik, Managing Director of Starz, stated that “One season ins’t enough to satisfy the fans’ twodecade-long appetite for more Ash. The early fan and press support, along with the international broadcaster demand for more story have made it clear that the adventures of Ash Williams can’t end with season one.” It shows that the people behind this project care about the fan reaction, as they want to keep the show and mythology evolving.
