As ridiculous as it sounds that there was interest in creating a film focusing on the classic Masters of the Universe TV Series, it certainly seems to be a thing. While rumors have been going around about interest regarding the project, but up to this point it was just in development hell, but if Deadpool has proven everything that does not necessarily mean that a project will never actually see the light of day. 

It seems that interest is once again starting to give the project some legs, as according to Deadline, McG, or Joseph McGinty Nichol, who was behind films such as This Means War, Terminator: Salvation and Charlies Angels is currently in talks to direct the upcoming reboot of the film 1987, which at the time stared Dolph Lungdren focusing on He-Man arriving in our world. 

While McG is a strange choice to direct this film, it will be interesting to see if this project will come to fruition. As mentioned before, many films land in development hell, but a while back some concept art was released online yet nothing else was shown since then.
