Seems that the CW Riverdale show is currently fast-tracking its casting as besides all teh already mentioned characters we also have news regarding that they have casted the other love-interest of Archive Andrews, who will be played by KJ Apa, Veronica Lodge.

Camilla Mendes will be playing Veronica, who is portrayed as "a silver-tongued high school sophomore who returns to Riverdale from New York, eager to reinvent herself after a scandal involving her father." It seems as if they are taking a slight 2 Broke Girls direction with Veronica and could be an interesting twist on teh character.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has started production and we are finally slowly getting more information regarding the cast. Not only is Kurt Russell part of the cast and rumored to be playing Star-Lord's father alongside Elizabeth Debicki and Chris Sullivan, there are also reports regarding the ever-growing cast with Tommy Flanagan, who just recently appeared in FOX's Gotham.

Whilt enot much information is given regarding his cahracter, there are reports that he is playing Yondu's right-hand man, which some believed to have been Kraglin (played by the directors brother Sean Gunn), but if some rumors are too believed Yondu might become a part of the Guardians team at one point in the film, which could mean that he may get betrayed by Flanagan's character.

We all have those things that fill us with nostalgia and for me it is probably Archie's Digest. While living abroad in Austria, my father would still send me Archie comics now and then and when I heard that CW was working on a show focusing on Riverdale, I was actually quite curious what they would do. Considering that CW is famous for its teen drama, it almost seems like a perfect fit and I couldn't wait to see what they will do.

Slowly we are getting more and more news regarding the show, which was picked up for a pilot order. The main lead Archie Andrews has been cast with New Zealander (not Zoolander) KJ Apa, whose character is described as "an intense, conflicted teen, a boyish high school sophomore who got pumped up over teh summer working construction and is now juggling the interest of several girls, as well as trying to balance his passion for writing and performing music - against the wishes of his father and his football coach."

I find it strange that they went out of their way to explain that Archie is "pumped up", but who knows what direction they are going. Also, Josie and the Pussycats will play a role in the seris, as thy also casted Ashleigh Murray as Josie, who is "a gorgeous, snooty and ambitious girl who is the lead singer for popular band Josie and the Pussycats. She has zero interest in recording any songs written by fellow teen Archie." It seems they might have a close relationship in the show when Riverdale debuts next TV season with executive producer Greg Berlanti attached.

We also have casting news regarding the Hamburger-munching Jughead, as Cole Sprouse has been cast as the character and Lili Reinhart playing Betty. The strangest decision is that Jughead is described as an "emo-heartthrob" so it will be interesting to see how the character will appear in teh series.

It seems that the recently rumored Punisher Netflix spin-off might not actually be in development as originally believed. While this doesn't completely rule out its existence, it just seems that Netflix and Marvel are currently truly focusing on releasing everything that was already planned up to this point. Jeph Loeb in a recent interview stated that "I think that's something that people are speculating on, as opposed to something that's actually happening. It's certainly our hope that any of our characters will be embraced and taht people want to see more of them."

This certailny shows that there is interest, but with Iron Fist still without an official casting announcement and no given information who will be the showrunner behind the Defenders or even when we will see the mini-series being released it is understandable they are focusing on finishing their current projects before they truly expand, but it doesn't rule out seeing Frank Castle in the upcoming Defenders mini-series.

While DC Comics and NBC are working hard on their pilot of "Powerless", it seems Marvel and ABC weren't sitting around and twiddling their thumbs either. While some would say Agents of SHIELD's ratings aren't that much of a success, it does seem that the network is highly interested in expanding its part of the grander Marvel Cinematic Universe as Marvel's Most Wanted was given a pilot order and now even has an official synopsis, which goes as follows:

MARVEL’S MOST WANTED (aka Mockingbird)

STUDIO: Marvel Television

TEAM: Jeffrey Bell (w, ep), Paul Zbyszewski (w, ep), Jeph Loeb (ep), Jim Chory (ep)

LOGLINE: Centers on Bobbi Morse (a.k.a. Mockingbird) and Lance Hunter of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., two ex-spies and ex-spouses who are on the run with no friends, no S.H.I.E.L.D. and a long list of enemies looking to claim a bounty on their heads. Able to trust no one but each other, Bobbi and Hunter form an uneasy alliance with Dominic Fortune, a rogue adventurer with a wealth of resources and even more adversaries, who agrees to protect them so long as they help him with his own agenda. These two heroes will help anyone in need, all while trying to uncover the conspiracy that put their own lives in jeopardy. CAST: Adrianne Palicki, Nick Blood, Delroy Lindo.

DC Comics is expanding its television empire with its workplace sitcom "Powerless" on NBC finally announcing its official cast for the pilot ordered show. So far the cast has quite some strong actors behind it with Alan Tudyk, who some might fondly remember from Firefly, Danny Pudi, who actually made a cameo in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Christina Kirk, who was part of the show A to Z.

They aren' thte only actors who joined the show, as Vanessa Hudgens has also been cast as Emily Locke, who is "an insurance claims adjuster who loves her job because she gets to help people...[and] likes to fly under the radar and just get her work done."

The show will follow the everyday life of the employees in one of the worst inasurance companies in America, as they are set in the DC Comics universe with superheroes, which makes their lifes a living hell. It will be interesting to see how this show turns out and with Marvel and ABC producing Marvel's Damage Control, how different will they be from each other.

Chapter #01
Strange Introductions

There is always a defining moment in everyone’s life. That one moment where you need to prove that you are truly worth something. One man stands before his fate trying to uncover what he is truly made of. Is it possible for him to truly prove his worth? Is there anything standing in his way to truly become the man he was meant to be? His dreams are finally coming true, but now he has to pull it together or else he might end up letting this chance pass by.
“Oooh god, why did I decide to do this?” Isaac said out loud while staring over the railing while trying to keep his stomach together so that he doesn’t lose his breakfast. “Don’t know what fascinates me the most, the fact that you managed to hold it in this long, or avoided anyone figuring it out in the evaluation!” James stated while holding on to his friend who might have contemplated to jump overboard so that he could feel something again in his stomach. “Dooon’t even think about it! You wanted to grab the opportunity so you are going to live with it!”
“Well, pardon me for not knowing I could seasick this easily! At least it can’t get any worst than this!”  James patted his friend on the back with a grin on his face while noticing someone wildly waving over to them. “You two! Time to get inside! NOW!” Isaac finally turned away from the railing while holding his stomach. “What’s going on?” he wondered as suddenly the floor under their feet started to shake like crazy. “Oh why did I open my mouth?” Isaac murmured as he noticed that the aircraft carrier they were on suddenly started growing turbines that were coming out of the water. “I guess I should have told you about that!” James said while laughing s he was helping Isaac hold his footing, as he was trying to keep himself from throwing up. “This is much worse, oh lord, this is my nightmare!” Isaac kept murmuring to himself as they were pushed into the ship by one of the crewmembers outside bringing everyone inside.
“So here we are!” James said laughing as he realized that Isaac didn’t catch himself after being shoved inside and was now on his knees. “That bad huh?” Isaac with his face towards the floor simply nodded as James helped him up and then just randomly slapped him in the face. “The hell was that for?” Isaac shouted trying to check if his jaw was still intact. “A sign for you to get yourself together! You wanted this to happen so pull yourself together! You wanted to step out of the boring ol’ office and here you are!”
“Yeah, I mean, I always wanted to work in a flying hunk of death trap! What dreams to have!” Isaac’s sarcastic reaction got him another slap in the face with James laughing as he continued down the hallway. “You were seeking some more excitement in your life, well, welcome to my world!” James said as he waved Isaac to follow him. “Does your world always involve some slapping this early in the morning?” Isaac asked only for James to instantly reacted with: “Depends on the morning!” he said with his laugh is echoing down the hall and Isaac shaking his head.
“Alright, first off we need to get you into a uniform!” which confused Isaac a little as he assumed suits is the classic uniform for an agent. “When you are on a Helicarrier you have to wear a uniform, directors orders!” Those words left Isaac behind quite confused, but he doesn’t have a high enough clearance level to even question that fact. “You got your assignment and everything, right?” Isaac nodded while pulling out a piece of paper. “Got it right here. Seems I was assigned to...work in...wait an archive? Looky there, from one desk job to another...” Isaac said while sighing away as he was still having a hard time keeping his balance with the entire place still slightly shaking. “Look at it this way, you need to start somewhere my friend!” James said as he noticed Isaac was walking a bit slowly behind him. His stomach felt a bit shaken up as he realized that they are flying further up into the air. “You know when that weird movie kept calling that giant bird “as big as a battleship”? I don’t think they thought someone would take it literally!” James laughed as he tried to figure out what exactly the name of the film was before Isaac threw in “Man I really need to re-watch The Giant Claw again.” While Isaac was reminiscing about a movie he watched not too long ago, James simply shook his head at his friend’s fascination with film. “The guy is on a flying aircraft carrier and all he can do is make a reference to an old black-and-white film! I remember you forcing me to watch that thing!” While they kept walking down the halls with various agents passing by them, Isaac simply responded with an “I thought you enjoyed it, Karin certainly seemed to be having fun!” James turned around giving a look that made one thing quite clear, she did not enjoy it. “You are lucky my wife is a very patient woman, but...” He hesitated for a second before confessing that “...Yeah she actually enjoyed how bad it was!”
“Then I did my job!” Isaac said proudly as someone walked past him staring as if he was trying to figure out what kind of people are on this ship. “Congratulations, well now it is time for you to finally get in uniform. We are here!” he said as he lead Isaac towards his locker with his uniform he got fitted for and it was strange seeing it in front of him. He always worked at the offices at headquarters and wore a suit almost every single day, so this was an interesting change. Actually, he realized that in both cases everyone is wearing the same thing so in the end it was not that different after all. He started sensing a running theme of unity here, but a job is a job.
“I wanted to ask you, how is Karin doing? I haven’t seen her in a while!” Isaac thought that maybe starting some small talk would make the awkwardness of two men changing in the same room a bit less awkward. “She just started her new job so we’ll see if this one will stick!” James answered while sticking a new picture of his wife on the inside of his locker door, which was already filled to the brim making it difficult to find another spot. “A slight obsession there?” Isaac asked him only for James to respond with “Coming from the guy who was in a tent outside a movie theater last week!” which managed to quiet down Isaac. “Fine, we all have our own little obsessions!”  Both of them simply laughed as they finally got their uniforms on.
“Alright, I was assigned to bring you to the archive and then I am going to head out as well. So, follow me!” James said as they continued walking through the corridors. On their way, Isaac was fascinated what different type of people or rooms could be found in this place. While it did look massive from the outside, but once you set foot into this behemoth you truly realize what you have become a part of. Sitting at his office at one of the many headquarters you feel like a typical office drone for every other company, but once you set foot in this you realize that there was more to this entire organization than one thought at first. He would certainly enjoy it much more if the entire place wasn’t constantly shaking slightly making him nauseous about being on board of this place.
“Well, we are finally here! Welcome to the Archive!” James said as he knocked on the door that was well hidden deep within the corridors of this place. After someone from within the office asked them to enter, they walked into a massive room that was filled with what seemed to be filled to the brim with a variety of records and documents. A short chill of terror went down his spine as he wondered if he would have to sort all of these documents. In the middle of the room there was a desk that had stacks of documents piling up. “Someone here?” James asked while trying to look around that massive pile. “Of course, coming! Coming! Don’t worry!!” echoed from one side of the room as suddenly someone holding a stack of documents, which were promptly just placed on the table that was already exploding due to the amount of papers.
“How can I help you?” asked a young lady with a bright smile on her face. “I am delivering a new transfer to your department. Let me introduce an old friend of mine, this guy right here is Isaac and he will be helping you guys out here. I leave him in your care!” James aid as he quickly waved goodbye as he left the room with a grin on his face as if he had just fed him to some lions. As Isaac turned around he realized the bright grin on the face of the lady in front of him. “Isaac, right? From this day forward I will be your, Supervising Officer, here! You can call me Madam SO from this day for...” but before she could finish her sentence another person appeared and bonked her on the head before she could finish. “Don’t mind her! She has been waiting to make someone her subordinate for a while even if she is one herself.” A lady smoking scolded the younger girl from before as she then paid attention once again to Isaac, who felt slightly left behind by James without any true warning. “The name is Kate Lorain, I am going to be your actual SO while you are here so if you have any questions please ask them now!” she said with a stern voice, which ended up catching Isaac off guard as he hadn’t really thought of anything to ask as soon as he arrived. “Alright, time’s up!” Wait what? That was just a few seconds, no one can think up a question at that speed! “This little monster here is Sarah...” before she could finish Sarah shouted out “Classified! My last name shall be the biggest mystery you must solve to prove you are allowed to work here!” Isaac felt as if he had truly stepped on a landmine that wasn’t far off from exploding if he just said a single word at the moment.
“Naveen, her last name is Naveen!” someone suddenly said as another person appeared from behind the stacks of papers that were shielding him from anyone noticing him in the room. “Come on Nathan! Where is the fun in that?” Sarah shouted annoyed as she stormed off back to wherever she had first appeared from. “She will cool down in a sec! Hey, the names Nathan Lord!” Isaac greeted his stretched hand and smiled thinking that just maybe he had found one person that won’t force him to walk on eggshells while working here. “Enough of the formalities! We have an introduction tradition here and Isaac, you’re new here!” Kate said with a gigantic grin on her face. Damn you James, you picked this place on purpose, didn’t you?
“Alright newbie, here is the rule. I am going to ask you questions about you, if I don’t like the answer, well....you’ll find out!” Oh, I am royally screwed aren’t I? “Alright, first question....what did you do before you got here?” That’s the first question? I thought she was going to ask something much worse. “Up until now I worked in the PR department so...” Suddenly, Kate splashed him with a cup of water and just added a “Don’t care! What did you do before you got on board?” she asked as she stared into his soul with an intensity that felt like he was a touch away of turning to ice. “I...I met up my friend James who guided me on board!” Here comes the water! Wait, she actually looked a bit satisfied with that answer. “Alright, where do you know James from?” I thought this was about me? “I knew him before he joined the academy. We went to the same high school together, but while I went to a local university he decided to join the academy. We stayed in contact and ironically I somehow ended up working for...” There was the missing water splash from before. “Whatever, most important question now. If you don’t give me an answer I want to hear, I will zap you!” she said as she pulled out a Taser, which she then gave to Sarah, who suddenly had a sinister look in her eyes. “O..kay what is it?” Isaac asked while knowing that no matter what he will say, he will probably get to learn much about electricity than he ever truly wanted to. “Is...” Wait a minute! I am completely soaked. “your friend, James,...” If I get hit by the Taser I am doomed! “...seeing anyone?” Kate asked while slightly blushing. “Wait, do you have a crush on James?” Isaac asked confused about the matter only for him to land another glass of water in the face. “I am asking for a  friend!” the strong-willed lady in front of him said as if she worked by the logic of a high school girl. While he just met her, that stern personality seemed to have disappeared as soon as she asked about James. “I hate to break it to you, but...he is married!” he said without thinking of the ramifications of him revealing that fact to someone who seems to have a crush. “Damnit, I knew it!” she said while slowly walking away that made Isaac sigh in relief as if he had avoided the trouble of getting zapped to death. “Oh, Sarah he is all yours!” she said before walking to her office that was just a desk in the corner of the room leaving a demonic Sarah in control of Isaac’s life. “Well, well...looks like I am not your SO, but you are under my control!” she said while her grin kept growing on her face. “Is this necessary? I mean, we are all civilized here, aren’t we?” he asked while trying to slowly backing away from her, but luckily to him Nathan intervened and grabbed her before something could happen. “The show is over, time to get back to work!” he said as he took the Taser out of her hands and threw a mop towards Isaac.
“First day on the job, could you mop up the mess Kate made and don’t worry, she splashes everyone with water on their first day. You were the unlucky bastard who actually knows James, she had a crush on him ever since they both were together in the academy.” Isaac was confused, as James never told him much about his time at the academy. To him it was just an obscure time in the life of his friend that was never truly talked about. Was there something that happened between them that made him try to forget this time? “Do you remember where you changed?” to which Isaac simply nodded. “When you are done just head over there, you should have a fresh uniform ready for you! When you are done just come back here and I’ll give you something to do!” Nathan said with a smile before disappearing behind the pile of papers. While mopping the floor Isaac was wondering what else was heading his way after starting the day off with getting water splashed on his face and being seasick. Oh crap, just thinking about that fact he felt the shaking of the Helicarrier once more and felt a slight movement in his stomach. Somehow he missed the distraction from before again, but he knew he would get use to it. Now he isn’t just an employee at a random office, for the first time he actually felt like he was actually part of S.H.I.E.L.D. and not just a usual office drone.

It seems that after a lot of speculation, The Flash and Supergirl will officially crossover, as Grant Gustin, everyone's favorite Barry Allen will officially appear in an upcoming episode of Supergirl.

In an official statement by Kreisberg, the showrunner behind The Flash and Supergirl: "We are so incredibly excited to announce something that we have dreamed of happening since we starting making ‘Supergirl’ – ‘The Flash’ and ‘Supergirl’ are teaming up! We want to thank Grant Gustin for making the time to come visit (on top of his already immense workload) and all of the folks at CBS, The CW, Warner Bros. and DC for working this out. And finally thanks to the fans and journalists who have kept asking for this to happen. It is our pleasure and hope to create an episode worthy of everyone’s enthusiasm and support.”

It will be interesting to see what this'll mean for the future of this franchise and if they will crossover more often in the future. Would make sense to see Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow and maybe even Legends of Tomorrow to crossover more often if these shows are connected. This could be something that might also bring back Constantine in a future episode as well.

I have always been a huge fan of the "A Series of Unfortunate Events" franchise and not only due to the fascinating title, but also the concept of the author behind the story actually being part of the universe. While I confess that I consider the film adaptation featuring Jim Carrey to be a personal guilty pleasure, I was very much looking forward to the fact that a Netflix series was announced focusing on a series, which simply functions much more effective as a TV series.

The series will be produced by Daniel Handler and Barry Sonnenfeld. If anyone notices the first name of Daniel Handler, that is the actual author of the franchise, who uses the pen name Lemony Snicket while writing "A Series of Unfortunate Events" already is a good sign that the series might be quite true to the books. In addition, the series has found its Count Olaf, who will be played by everyone's favorite Barney, Neil Patrick Harris.

That isn't all, as they have now announced that Malina Weissman, who some might have seen on the recent Supergirl series, will be playing Violet and Klaus is played by newcomer Louis Hynes. With that two of the three Baudelaire children have been cast and it will be interesting how many books the first season will follow.

Marvel's Most Wanted is slowly gaining shape as a classic Marvel character has just been added to the roster of the Agents of SHIELD spin-off. Delroy Lindo, who is famous from Blood & Oil and The Chicago Code, will be playing Dominic Fortune, a character who first appeared in 1975's Marvel Preview #2 from Howard Chaykin.

The character is commonly seen as a man who seeks wealth and excitement while travelling throughout the world. This is the first official casting besides the already established characters of Bobbi Mrose and Lance Hunter, who willl join teh series after being mainstays of the Agents of SHIELD series for two seasons.

What do you think this means for the new series? Will we truly focus on globe-trotting former SHIELD agents and what does this mean for the show when it's third season ends in May.

As ridiculous as it sounds that there was interest in creating a film focusing on the classic Masters of the Universe TV Series, it certainly seems to be a thing. While rumors have been going around about interest regarding the project, but up to this point it was just in development hell, but if Deadpool has proven everything that does not necessarily mean that a project will never actually see the light of day.

It seems that interest is once again starting to give the project some legs, as according to Deadline, McG, or Joseph McGinty Nichol, who was behind films such as This Means War, Terminator: Salvation and Charlies Angels is currently in talks to direct the upcoming reboot of the film 1987, which at the time stared Dolph Lungdren focusing on He-Man arriving in our world.

While McG is a strange choice to direct this film, it will be interesting to see if this project will come to fruition. As mentioned before, many films land in development hell, but a while back some concept art was released online yet nothing else was shown since then.

What do you think of this choice? Who do you want to see direct this film?

DC's Legends of Tomorrow finally started and while I have not yet had the chance to watch it, they are certainly gearing up to expand their already quite heavy cast, but it seems that the newest character to join the Arrowverse, or CWverse as some may call it, has a mentor that will appear in an upcoming episode. Interesting enough, this actor might be familiar to many if they have seen Marvel's last film, Ant-Man.

Martin Donovan will play Rip Hunters Time Academy mentor Druce, who is a new twist on the characters origins. In the comics, Hunter's mentor was in fact Booster Gold, who even turned out to be his father at one point. According to the character description: "Druce is a respected member of the time council who was Rips first mentor at the Time Master Academy. He is a seasoned Time Master who is accustomed with mediating conflicts throughout history. Druce finds himself faced with his greatest challenge when he is tasked to find Rip and convince him to abandon his hunt for Vandal Savage (Casper Crump). If he can't convince his former pupil and the Legends to give up their quest, he may be forced to kill the man he looked upon as a son."

DC Comics and Warner Bros. are starting their push to make 2016 the year that that the DC Expanded Universe of films finally kicks off with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice heading our way and the recently released Suicide Squad trailer. A few nights ago they released a special on DC Films, which gave Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns the chance to highlight some elements of these coming films.

In the course of the show one major question was also answered, as up to this point no one has been cast as a Green Lantern, who has always been a main stay for the DC universe and especially the Justice League. With Justice League Part 1 going to start production soon, many were wondering what would happen with that character and if he will appear in the film.

Johns stated that "We've been to these cities, we've been underwater, but there's one place we haven't been to: space. But now we are. So the Green Lanterns and the Green Lantern Corps are coming to join the Justice League universe." Kevin Smith, the host for the special added that "That's every kids dream, to see all those Justice League characters together, Gren Lantern is a big part."

Does this confirm his appearance? On one side, it does certainly hint on him playing an important part in the upcoming film, but sadly no more information is given in this regard what exactly could happen with these characters. Here is still hope that Green Lantern's casting might not bee to long off.

Not even China's immense Box Office could save the Terminator franchise, as it seems the sequel to last years Terminator: Genisys has officially been taken down from Paramounts 2017 release calendar. While this doesn't necessarily mean that the film is officially cancelled, it simply shows that there is a lack of trust in the project, especially considering that the once strong franchise only managed to pull in around $90 million domestically with most of its $440.6 million Box Office coming from internatoinal markets.

The May 19, 2017 release date has now been replaced with Dwayne Johnson's upcoming remake of Baywatch, which has been garnering a lot of traction over the last few months. Naturally, the already third planned Terminator film, which was slated for June 2018, has also been pulled so it isn't looking good for everyone's favorite 90s franchise.

It seems that Marvel has been quite busy not only further developing their Netflix side of televisoin, but even their ABC Productions have been quite busy. It seems that while they have been busy working on a Agents of SHIELD spin-off Marvel's Most Wanted and the first Marvel comedy focusing on the clean-up crew Marvel's Damage Control that isn't all ABC and Marvel have been cooking up.

While NBC is working on a DC Comics sitcom titled "Powerless", which will be a look at the DC universe from the side of regular people, ABC's president Paul Lee accidently revelaed at the Television Critics Association 2016 that a second half-hour comedy show is currently under development over at ABC. While no exact details were given what the show is focusing on or if we will see this show starting next TV season, but we will have to wait until May for official announcements.

Currently, there is a rumor that the show might focus on a variation of The Pulse comic, which followed news reporters and a news agency on how they deal with the everyday life in a world full of superheroes, but we could even see a new variation looking at the Daily Bugle, but so far these are just rumors.

I am certainly a bit late on this news, but it is still quite some great news. Marvel has been searching for a director for their ambitions Black Panther film for a while with candidates like Ava DuVernay leaving the project. They went seperate directions due to creative differences, but it certainly opened the opportunity for a completely new relationship, which seems to have finally come to fruition.

One of the outstanding films of the year, Creed, a succesor to the Rocky films focusing on Apollo Creed's son, has put director Ryan Coogler on the map and Marvle certainly didn't waste any time. He is now officially set to direct the Black Panther film, which has a February 16, 2018 release date.

Kevin Feige stated that "We are fortunate to have such an esteemed filmmaker join the Marvel family. The talents Ryan showcased in his first two films easily made him our top choice to direct Black Panther. Many fans have waited a long time to see Black Panther in his own film, and with Ryan we know we've found the perfect director to bring T'Challa's story to life."

It seems that while Netflix is sticking to its five Marvel TV-Series plan consisting of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Defenders, but there have been rumors spreading that the Marvel-Netflix side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe might see itself expanding in the coming future. A while back there was a rumor about a show focusing on the rather obscure character Moon Knight, but now it seems that the Phase 2 of Netflix shows might expand beyond that.

The second season of Daredevil will see the introduction of The Punisher, who might actually have a much larger role in the future of the series, as now it seems he might receive his very own series. This makes a lot of sense considering the character's darker roots and the many stories that could be told with a more vigilante character like Frank Castle. Behind-the-Scenes information have stated that Jon Bernthal is doing a fantastic job and seeing him have his own series would make sense.

This rumor might actually have some feet, as even the showrunners behind the second season of Daredevil have teased a potential series. "We got the pleasure of introducing Frank Castle into Hell's Kitchen and our world. Where we start off is, this is 'Daredevil' and 'Dareevil' Season 2, and the questoin was put before us. Jeph Loeb at Marvel has been extremely helpful at positioning this season as 'What is it to be a hero?' Season 1 is the guy becomes a hero and now, what is he going to do? Frank Castle comes and really stirs the pot, like 'oh, you're going to do this? I'm going to do this too. We're not that different, you're not that superior.'" Doug Petrie voiced in a recent interview.

Even Marvel Television head Jeph Loeb gave a few comments in regard to the potential of a Punisher show. "Looks I'm never going to discourage a network from looking at one of our characters and encouraging us to do more. That's my job, but it's certainly not how we enter the arena. We go into the arena to tell a story. If we are lucky enough that through the writing, through the direction, through the actor that people want to see more of that person, terrific. That's certainly not the beginning and the end goal. The beginning goal is always: What is the best 13 episodes of Daredevil season 2?" One thing is for sure, he didn't deny the potential of seeing a show, but it probably is a question of time before we have an official announcement which probably won't happen before Daredevil Season 2 is released worldwide.

The X-Men franchise is slowly expanding beyond the silver scree and with many excited to see a show focusing on the Hellfire club and Legion, some expectations might not be quite met and another show sadly might have lost an important element pushing it back for another year.

First off, Hellfire seemed to have lost its showrunner, as co-creators and writers Evan Katz and Manny Coto left the project to work on the reboot of 24: Legacy, which will not feature the famous Jack Bauer character. They both worked as executive producers on the original 24 and it's sequel 24: Live Another Day. Furthermore, Patrick McKay and John D. Payne, who help develop the story, have also left the project. Fox is still comitted to the project and it might still see the light of day in 2017.

2016 might still see the release of Legion, a show that was previously believed to be a part of the X-Men universe we have seen in the films, but now has been revealed to take place in a completely different world. "It's not in the continuity of those films in the sense the current X-Men films take place in a universe in which everybody on planet Earth is aware of the existence of mutants." according to FX President John Landgrag. The show still has a 2016 release date with it being a short ten episode season.

What do you think? Will Hellfire still be developed? Could Legion feature a multiverse aspect? Leave your thoughts below!
