Is Chris Pine Up for Two DC Roles?

Yes, finally a change of pace with a DC oriented article this time around. It seems the rumors around Chris Pine are continuing to grow, as it is still uncertain which character he is going to end up playing. Instead of asking him to play a specific role it seemed he was given an option between to distinct roles, one as the male love interest and the other as one of the lead characters. Naturally Pine is leaning towards the possibility of being a main character.

So, which roles is he up for? The love interest I mentioned was for playing Steve Trevor in the upcoming Wonder Woman film alongside Gal Gadot. The other would have him replacing Ryan Reynolds as the new incarnation of Hal Jordan and a part of the Green Lantern Corp. While negotiations are still underway, it seems that a decision should be made within the next few days as Warner Bros. might be planning to showcase their entire Justice League line-up at SDCC this year.[1]

I certainly can see him play Hal Jordan, as he has the humor that goes with the character while also looking quite similar to the comic incarnation. Only question remains if the rumors having the Green Lantern film coming in 2020 will indeed end up being an ensemble piece rather than just focus on one specific lantern. Only time will tell.
