Doctor Strange finally Has Its Female Lead?

We finally have a comfirmation that Rachel McAdams, who has been rumored to be circulating the female lead role in the upcoming Doctor Strange film for quite some time now. Jeff Sneider has now confirmed that she will indeed be joining the cast in an as-of-know still undisclosed role. She has been a casting favorite up to this point for various roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and it is an interesting casting seeing a former love interest of Robert Downey Jr.’s Sherlock Holmes meet BBCs Sherlock Holmes.[1]

While it is still unclear who she is playing and what role she might have, a common theory is that she is playing Night Nurse, a love interest of Strange’s and a prominent character in the comics. She is joining quite a considerably talented cast with Swinton, Ejiofor and Cumberbatch. Now, we are still hoping to see Mads Mikkelsen sign up for the film to create one of Marvel’s most ambitious cast.
