More Information Revealed of Upcoming Krypton TV Show

It seems David Goyer has given us a bit more information on the upcoming Krypton project, which I confess I have almost forgotten about, as it had gone quiet on that front. One thing is for sure, this will actually be part of the overarching DC Cinematic, or Expanded Universe they are building with Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, as he stated that “It takes place 200 years before Man of Steel. We’re treating Krypton like it’s a historical piece.[1]

When asked what they will use as inspiration, he stated that “We look to previous cultures on Earth to model what that would be like.” But wouldn’t go more into detail which cultures exactly he had in mind. It will also be interesting to see if they will take many different elements from the film for this project, as we only explored specific areas of Krypton in Man of Steel. “We scatched the surface in the film and, for me that was the allure. I was always fascinated, as a kid, with the books about Krypton and they’ve only shaded in a tiny bit, so we’ll learn about the politics of the world. We’ll learn about the culture, the art, all the different guilds.” The more he explained, it started sounding like an addition to World of Warcraft, but it will be interesting to see if this project can sell itself on this basis alone.
