Saban Finds It's Black Ranger!

Yes, Saban and Lionsgate have been on a role as of late, as they have now officially found their Black Ranger and no they didn’t actually make the same casting mistake they have made years ago. It seems Ludi Lin will be playing the Black Ranger in the upcoming Power Rangers film. The actor is famous from Monster Hunt and will join Naomi Scott and Dacre Montgomery.[1]

While I find it interesting that while building on nostalgia they completely dodged the racial issue the original casting had, I do wonder which direction they are heading. While some signs state that they have the original characters names from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, but some reports suggest this still exists within the continuity of the Power Rangers. At this point it could be either a reboot, or a continuation, but without official reports this is just speculation.
