So, anyone already tired of Luke Cage related news? I certainly am not, as we now have a confirmation that a scoop from Umberto Gonzalez and Heroic Hollywood a while back is confirmed, as Cottonmouth will indeed be appearing in Cheo Hodari Coker’s upcoming Luke Cage show on Netflix. He will be portrayed by Mahershala Ali, who many might know from House of Cards and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay.[1]

Jeph Loeb states that “Mahershala is an actor of extraordinary range and gravitas. As Cottonmouth he will really let loose.” It is stated that Cornell “Cottonmouth” Stokes is a Harlem nightclub owner and will become an unexpected foe in Luke’s life when Stoke’s criminal activities threaten Luke’s world.
